MEET KATHY RAMSEY CACII, CTP, CGP

Welcome to The REFUGE Addiction Counseling & Training Center. Kathy is a certified addiction counselor (CACII) through the Georgia Association of Addiction Counselors (GACA), and she holds a BA in Psychology from The Baptist University of Florida, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling, also through BUF. Kathy is a certified Prime Solutions Instructor (PSI), Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), Certified Grief-Informed Professional (CGP), and a member of the National Association for Drug and Alcohol Counselors (NADAAC).

Kathy has created The REFUGE to provide evidence-based treatment services to the underserved recovery community and their families. She has worked in the addiction field for several years and has experience using person-centered approaches with individuals and groups including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Contingency Management.  Her experience includes intensive outpatient services with women navigating drug court and other legal obligations. She has facilitated Prime Solutions groups for men & women in large groups. Kathy is also contracted with Bulloch Co Schools to provide addiction counseling services for their students, staff, and parents.

Prior to her addiction field work, she and her family enjoyed serving overseas in South Asia for 10 years with the International Mission Board. Kathy returned with a passion to better equip the church to understand mental health and bring healing to those who are impacted by it.

Kathy also is an ally in recovery, having experienced the impact of addiction within her own family. Call and schedule a free consultation today!
